We baked this cake for our friend Emma who absolutely loves rainbows. I also have a photograph of the inside! We did this by carefully, evenly layering red cake mix, then orange, then yellow and so on. We did two colors per layer of cake. This made the inside look like a rainbow! We used white cake mix and coloring it with extra concentrated food dye. We made the outside by covering it in white fondant, then adding each rainbow stripe one by one. the red rose on the top is constructed from gum paste that has been colored red and we made little fondant balls on the bottom for decor.
