We made this cake for our family on Thanksgiving. It is white cake with buttercream icing. We also wrote all of the names of the birthdays that we had missed and that we were celebrating. We covered the cake in orange fondant and then used different colors of fondant to create the design. The acorns on the top are made out of gum paste because, unlike fondant, it dries. This is our fall-themed cake! We made it for Ayana and Ms. Tello's birthday because Ayana birthday is tomorrow and Ms. Tello's in on friday and who doesn't love cake in spanish class. So we decided to do a fall theme because we couldn't think of something that both Ms. Tello and Ayana would like. This is a vanilla cake with buttercream icing and it's covered in orange fondant. We then added fall colored patterns and the leaves are enhanced with red petal dust! We hope that you enjoy this cake!

This is our very first commission cake! Ariana and I are very excited to be getting paid for what we love to do anyways! This cake was specially designed for a little girl that loves zebras. This cake is slightly differently sized than our other ones. Its wider and i little shorter. We covered vanilla cake with buttercream icing and put white fondant on top of that. We then cut out black zebra stripes and attached them to the cake using egg whites (so that it wouldn't peel). This cake was pretty difficult to do considering the fragile fondant stripes, but the hardest part was getting them to flow in a zebra-like-pattern! Fortunately we have tons of photos of this cake and we are including photos through each step of creating this zebra cake. We hope that you enjoy it!

My sister and I made this cake for my Mom's Birthday. Unlike many of our other cakes it is not covered in fondant, just chocolate icing. The thing that makes this cake special is its inside. This is called a Checkerboard cake because the chocolate and white cake are alternating. This is relatively difficult to do, especially if you do it without the proper size and shape of cookie cutters. First you create a pattern of 5-10 circles (depending on how small you want each square to be) and cut baked sections of white a chocolate cake. You then assemble then, alternating, so that they look like a target. you stack each layer on top of the next one, alternating so that it looks like a checker board. This sounds pretty complicated, and i'm not very good at explaining it so i'll see if i can post a video demonstrating how to do it. Anyway, hope that you enjoy this cake!

We baked this cake for our friend Emma who absolutely loves rainbows. I also have a photograph of the inside! We did this by carefully, evenly layering red cake mix, then orange, then yellow and so on. We did two colors per layer of cake. This made the inside look like a rainbow! We used white cake mix and coloring it with extra concentrated food dye. We made the outside by covering it in white fondant, then adding each rainbow stripe one by one. the red rose on the top is constructed from gum paste that has been colored red and we made little fondant balls on the bottom for decor. This cake was made for our friend Liz on her birthday! We picked a very modern design and created the polka dots using cookie-cutters. The inside is one of my favorite kinds of cake: Chocolate cake with buttercream icing! Almost all of our cakes are 3 layered and have icing in between each layer and under the fondant. We then covered the cake in blue fondant and added the green polka dots. Tip: When layering fondant on fondant it helps to use egg whites to keep it from peeling. Hope you enjoy this cake!

This is the very first cake that my sister and I ever made! It's a red velvet cake with cream cheese icing. We then covered it with very light colored pick fondant and used red and pink fondant to cover the top. as you can see we also made four roses out of gum paste. This was probably the hardest part. we also added red leaf-like cut outs to make the cake seem more decorative! Feel free to send us comments and ideas! Thanks!
